The Centre is operated under the auspices of the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation Learning Centres for Children. Each centre is separately incorporated as a charity and is governed by a Board of Governors whose responsibility is to organize, fund and assist in the operation of the Centre.
The Centre is operated almost entirely by volunteer personnel. Strict standards, both academic and ethical, are maintained in the selection of individuals for every position involving contact with children.
The Centre Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Centre, including all matters to do with staff, students and Centre administration, and is also a trained tutor.
Our Centre Director is Christine Stanley.
The Centre Supervisor is a certified trainer who assists the Centre Director in the supervision of tutors and trainees.
The Centre maintains a complement of volunteer tutors, all of whom have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach.
A team of friendly volunteers provides reception, security and refreshment services during the hours of operation.
